Start with the problem, then design the response
Sometimes the workshop someone asks for is exactly what is needed. Sometimes the request is pointing to a different capability or behaviour. The first step is a practical scoping conversation: what is happening, what needs to be different, and what kind of intervention is most likely to help.
Built around the leadership challenge rather than a pre-packaged menu. That might mean a focused workshop, a short development series, assessment-based development, coaching, or a combination of approaches.
Typical territory includes delegation, feedback, difficult conversations, coaching as a leader, performance management, communication, leadership transition, time and priorities, team effectiveness and developing other leaders.
For straightforward work, a scoping conversation is usually enough to recommend an approach and indicative range. Where the issue is more complex, a short paid discovery can include stakeholder conversations and a written recommendation before anything is designed.
Some organisations need senior learning and development capability before they are ready to create a permanent role.
Fractional support provides experienced L&D leadership on a part-time, ongoing basis — helping diagnose priorities, shape a capability plan, make build-versus-buy decisions and keep the work moving.
Contract support is suited to a defined piece of work or period of cover: building a leadership programme, reviewing a learning portfolio, supporting integration or transformation, covering a senior L&D role, or setting up a function for a permanent hire to inherit.
